Call out procedures for missing work:

You must communicate with the Admin Assistant AND Operations Manager at least 2 weeks in advance if you are requesting time off and how much PTO you have to use. If you can’t come in (any reason) you must communicate ASAP (with a minimum notice of 1 hour prior to the start of your job) to your Supervisor and the Operations Manager. You must give your supervisor a full rundown of the job as well as communicate with the crew to let them know who to call in case of an issue. If you are absent for any reason, you must use any PTO available.

A Team Lead’s primary responsibility is to manage their site and their crew. Their main objective is to ensure the job is done successfully, within the scope of work, and to ensure the customer is satisfied with the job. The team lead is also responsible for overseeing all technicians that are assigned to their job site each day. Team leads are responsible for time keeping, inventory of materials, reports, and other logs or forms that may be required by sites.  Team Leads work very closely with the Project Managers who provide support and guidance to Team Leads during the duration of the project.

Project Manager:

Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, follow budgets, monitor progress, and keep the team (estimators, sales team, engineers) informed the entire way. A Project Manager is responsible for following the scope and working with the on-site Supervisor to carry out a scope of work until completion.
The Project Manager is responsible for monitoring the man hour budget to ensure the total hours for a project do not exceed the allowable budget. A Project Manager will discuss with the Operations Manager, the manpower/qualifications of personnel required to complete assigned project(s). As a Project Manager, daily communication with team leads and POC’S is critical to ensuring project goals and expectations are met.

Program Manager/CPI Oversite:

CPI (Critical Project Implementation) is a project lead role within the AWS (Amazon Web Services) data centers.  CPI is responsible for guiding and overseeing various larger physical upgrades and changes in an AWS center such as adding equipment (PDP, BACOP, AMCOP, Racks) or making changes to existing or Legacy equipment.
As CPI Oversight your duty is to assist the CPI by taking part of the CPI workload and seeing it through to completion.  As Program Manager you will be overseeing all Program Support members.  This includes their training, time clocks, performance, and overall accountability.  CPI oversight will range over a very wide array of projects so the Program Manager will need to be well educated in all current CPI projects and Amazon processes.  The role of CPI is constantly changing; therefore, Program Manager must be able to adapt and change with it assuring that all Program Support roles are up to date as well.  Program Manager will make sure all Support Teams Playbooks, MCMs, Global Trackers, MOPs, and all other paperwork are up to date daily.  Any alarms or security issues involving Program Support or the vendors they are responsible for will be noted and proper disciplinary actions taken.

Program Support/CPI:

As Program Support/CPI Oversight your duty is to assist the CPI by taking part of the CPI workload and seeing it through to completion.  The physical role will vary depending on the SOW (Scope of Work) the CPI is currently engaged in, but our overall job will require much of the same tasks.  This will require a wide range of data center knowledge from construction and installation to power management and server loads.  Program Support will create and complete MCMs (Modeled Change Management), MOPs (Method of Procedure), WAFs (Work Authorization Form), DABs (Daily Awareness Brief), and all safety and regulatory paperwork associated with the current project.  Program Support will be responsible for checking in vendors upon arrival, going over DABs, filling out WAFs to open MCMs for the day as well as track progress throughout the day.  There will be multiple recording systems to keep up to date, online spreadsheets and playbooks to manage.  At the end of the day you will perform housekeeping walks and pause or close all open MCMs for the day.  The Program Support will essentially be 3rd party CPI for Amazon.
